Ed,
The last shot in this series, of the mottled duck, is fantastic on Flickr. The IQ on this site does not do it justice. I'd recommend anyone wondering what this camera, lens and 2x combo can do to visit your Flickr page. Outstanding!!!

Thanks Dave! I just made a 13X19 print of the duck and it looks great! the eye AF really nailed that one!

I tried to get out again this weekend but weather has been lousy when I had time to go. I have an eagle boat trip planned in a couple of weeks that should be able to give this combo a real shakedown. The guy taking me is a newly converted R5 addict (he ditched his Nikon gear for it) and will be my coach!!

Cuteness! I was lucky last evening to see the Red Squirrel baby come out of it's tree hole for the first time yesterday evening. The sun was setting but f2.8 worked wonders.
