I use Helicon because it's faster than Photoshop, and it's a lot easier to do some minor touch-ups when you see some halos or minor issues. Not saying it can't be done in Photoshop, but I don't know PS nearly as well and Helicon can output back to Lightroom in DNG rather than a TIFF file from PS, and I prefer the DNG file.
