A couple shots of the red-whiskered bulbul that can be found in a couple areas of southern California. A non-native bird that has been able to live in a couple of the botanical gardens of the area, these were taken at the gardens of the Huntington Library.

Yes, all of those are stacked images. I use Helicon because it's faster than Photoshop, and it's a lot easier to do some minor touch-ups when you see some halos or minor issues. Not saying it can't be done in Photoshop, but I don't know PS nearly as well and Helicon can output back to Lightroom in DNG rather than a TIFF file from PS, and I prefer the DNG file.

Very much agree. Helicon Focus to a DNG is the best way to go.

Another strength of Helicon is that it does alignment of hand held focus stacks better than PS. It's ridiculously good TBH. I've started doing more shots hand held esp with complicated scenes where I'm moving the camera a few inches to get to the best perspective (and collecting several perspectives) ....so much better to do hand held with the R5 collecting the images for you via it's focus stack function.

Helicon is very cost effective for the time it saves.

I'm still fascinated by how easy it is to use ISO 6400 with the R5.
