You're welcome. You can select it with the Q button and where is says full on the right side near the bottom click on it and you will see the 1.6x crop mode option. I put mine onto the C1 function so I only need to hit one button. I am not sure if you can assign it only to a button for just crop mode.

You most likely can add that to your My Menu structure too and then set the camera to also go to My Menu first instead of the last place. I put all my most often used functions/features in My Mneu (no more than 3), and then use those. This is an alternative to trying to set that in a custom slot which also then locks in other things you may have set.

We just got these puppies a few weeks ago - forgive me for not having more variety in subjects. They are sisters. It's a ton of working having littermates...

I'm not one to go too in depth in all the technicalities, but I took this strong backlit shot and decided to see what kind of DR I could get out of it. I think it's pretty good...

After - I just hit Auto and then dragged highlights to -100 and shadows to +100:

Is anyone seeing sensor spots yet? At 12 fps with mechanical shutter there might be some oil...

If this is 12800 on the R5 and a proper exposed shot

This is Krapola

5D4 blows this away at 12800......IF everything is equal

I think the only fair test would be to actually run both the same side by side to see. Everything I have seen at high ISO far gives the edge to the R5, especially given detail rendering at high ISO and resolution, both of which will create a superior product to that of the 5D4 (upsized 5D4 doesn't look as good at 45Mpx compared to the same R5).

The most recent wedding photog video does call out how impressive the AF is. The photog said that he doesn't think the focus ever hit something in the background or foreground off his subjects that he was shooting. He went so far as to call this the best Canon AF body he has ever shot with. Between resolution and AF, I am excited to get it. I do want to see what Canon does to address some of these other issues though, I suspect a firmware update will come out in the next month trying to help the issue, but I wonder how much of this will require a hardware fix.
