There ya go

Much Much better.....there are super close. Almost identical from what I can see

The R6 should be better. Why ? Because the 1Dx2 is better....and the R6 has the 1Dx3 sensor which is better than the 1Dx2

Thanks for posting

When I do get the R5, it's going to be paired mostly with my Sigma 150-600, so I'm interested to learn how you find yours pairing with the R5. Any concerns or issues using the adapter?

I bought the adapter with adjustment ring. Looks sturdy enough to me. Yesterday shooting surfers (hand held) was the first time I was about with the Sigma 150-600 on the camera. Did not feel any different from handling the 5D4. Only thing is that I find the EVF hard to read when in bright sunlight. I am wearing self tinting prescription glasses and it seems the tinting darkens the EVF more than reading the optical viewfinder of the 5D4. But I'll get used to that I think.

Thank you. I'm going from 5D IV to R5, so good to hear that you're not feeling any difference between the two in terms of handling. I'm sure, though, the R5 is a huge improvement in terms of AF tracking and over all IQ.

One of the main advantages I experienced so far is the option to crop closer and still have good detail. The sensor is about 1.5 times denser so allows for tighter crops. Sharpness and IQ in general will be more dependant on the lens than the body. I still have to experiment with the AF tracking. Does not work well in surf where I mostly use single point AF but going to try that out on BIF (the kookaburras in my garden :) )

I have no issues with AF on my 5d4, but want the eye tracking, something that wasn't great on the R.

Will the RAW files from the R5 open directly in Lightroom right now?

Me too. I've been doing bird tours with him for years, (even at times with some other folks on this forum) have one coming up this weekend. He knows his stuff and is a great wildlife photographer as well as guide!!!!

Maybe we've shared a boat some time in the past????? :)

Exactly. Every year. My originally scheduled trip a few weekends ago was cancelled due to boat engine trouble. This is my last shot at them for the year.....you can see the results of previous outings for these birds on my flickr page and web site....:)
