I took a trip to Kansas over the last new moon week and got some pretty nice images. Here’s one of the Trifid that I finished last week. I intentionally took more blue subs in hopes of getting more of the reflection nebula in the area.

Specs:
110mm Orion EON f/6 reduced to f/4.8, 528mm
CEM60 Mount
QHY9M w/Optolong LRGB filters
Processed in PixInsight, Darks and flats applied.

Subs Totals: all 5 minute subs at -20c
L 19 1.6hrs
R 16 1.3hrs
G 15 1.25hrs
B 21 1.75hrs

5.9 total hours

I hope you enjoy it!!
Jeff

Very nice! One of my favorite DSOs. How do you like imaging with a Newtonian? I've been looking at one for a while but can't decide.
