Using Capture One just for converting into Lightroom???

Can I use Capture One express for the sole purpose of converting so that I can use the files in my Lightroom 6? Of course my new camera is no longer recognized in Lightroom.

It would be just as easy to convert it with the free Adobe's DNG converter.

What type of file would Capture One give after conversion.

It has export recipes (what they call it) for jpegs both sRGB, aRGB, Color Match RGB, Apple RGB, JPeg 2000, Jpeg Quick Proof, JPeg XR. Then you also have DNG,PNG, PSD (Adobe PS file format) and TIFF.

If you want Loss less, most people will use TIFF but it makes a large file.

Now, I have the full version, not the express version, but I believe they are exactly the same except the express version just supports one camera brand, not all.
