I have a 5D Mark IV which I have had fora number of years. The other day I had a fall and slightly damaged my camera/lens, although I THINK it's all cosmetic.

Today when I turn the camera on/off I hear a series of quiet clicks from the camera... which I THINK is the sensor cleaning, maybe? Thing is I have absolutely never heard or noticed this sound before.

Is this what it is? Is hearing this noise normal?

Is the lens an IS lens? Does it do it with the lens off or a different lens? It sounds more like the IS spinning down. The sensor cleaning is a pizo-electric attachment and it really doesn't shake the sensor, more like vibrates it really fast.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point..

My 5D4 doesn't make sounds during the sensor clean, certainly not at a normal holding distance.
