Just want to point out the single main reason I've been using the Adorama (exclusive) Flashpoint R2 Pro Mark II Flash control transmitter for Godox/Flashpoint flash units.

I've been in certain venues where the other Godox transmitters have been bedeviled by misfires caused by radio interference. In some cases, I may get two or three misfires for every one successful flash. The Godox system may be particularly sensitive to interference, because in several places where I'd used Paul C Buff's CyberCommander without problems, I had loads of problems with the Godox Pro (Mark I) controller.

The Adorama Flashpoint R2 Pro Mark II Flash control transmitter has a frequency scanning feature that checks for interference and identifies the clearest channels. You then set all the equipment to one of those channels.

I have found this to work wonderfully in all the situations I'd previously run into misfire problems.

It also converts the last used TTL flash power value to manual with a button press.
It also functions as a transmitter properly when mounted on the hot shoe and using a 1st gen R2 Transmitter as a remote shutter trigger with an R2 receiver attached to the remote port. I tend to use this a lot.

I'm very glad I found this thread, great info! I am moving to Godox/Flashpoint and was contemplating a used trigger.....I know not to look for the older model just because they're cheap.

Thank you!
