I found these while looking for Three Bird Orchids (which I didn't find) in a nearly virgin woods.

Beautiful shot. I've tried for years to take a decent photo of this spider for years but every time I find one the wind is blowing.

Like the first one, strong image. Flash is a bit harsh in the close up.

Thank you. Yes, I agree. The first one I got last year. I took the shot for identification purposes and was pleasantly surprised by the result. The second was taken Sunday and, while it showed the structure of the spider the best, the flash is harsh (even with diffusion).
