I’m excited to see what you think of it!

I had the 6D and 6DII then went to another brand. I always planned on switching back and this body has made me want to once the price is right. The stores here have jacked the price up to ludicrous amounts!

You future owners that use LR Classic are lucky. You will be able to import R6 RAW files from day one. Besides that enjoy the new cam :-)

So now I'm champing at the proverbial bit for the R6. And here I was saying I would jump next year. The G.A.S. is strong with this one LOL!

Jeff Cable held a Zoom seminar and posted it on YouTube. It was pretty informative. Other lesser known YouTubers are also very very positive.

Here's my dilemma: I'm not going to buy any RF lenses for now and the RF adapters, both regular and control ring are backordered everywhere. I don't want to buy a kit, which is available. But if I do it would be the RF 24-105 STM. At least $300 more is better than $1100 more for the RF F4.

I also need to soften the blow for the purchase by selling at least one body. Possibly both (5D4/7D2). Do I need both? It seems the R6 will have me covered on the Full-Frame side as well as Crop mode for reach and not to mention FPS. Just not sure how to price these as I need the funds before I purchase. And DSLR are getting harder to sell because of MLIC.

What to do, what to do...

What to do, what to do...

After I bought the R, I didn't touch my 5D4 for 6 weeks. Realized instead of "supplementing" the 5D4 it was replacing it so I sold the 5D4 early last year. Good news for folks wanting to buy a used 5D4, prices have plummeted. Of course that's bad news for people wanting to buy one. After a vacation last year when I was constantly switching lenses, my wife told me I should buy a second body so I picked up a second R last December.

I am on the list for an R5, have already sold one of the R's to help pay for it. Trying to decide now about selling the other R and getting R5 and R6 or stick with R and R5.

If I were to buy the R6, I'd go with the STM lens bundle. $1100 for the 24-105mm f/4L is too steep when they are free qtly on sale for $900.

The RF 24-240mm is a hell of a "consumer" lens, I imagine the 24-105mm STM is worth the $300.

And right now the STM bundle is $100 off. And I have the Payboo card which saves me tax! What am I waiting for?! Oh right...funds!

The Canon Drop-In Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R with Circular Polarizer Filter, while more expensive, is in stock if it helps push you over the edge of the cliff with chomping at the bit. :-D
I'm personally more interested in the variable ND filter for quick video purposes, but it's definitely a primo option to work as just an adapter. Would let you impulse purchase the R6.

Also potentially the R5 would let you replace both the 5D4 and 7D2 due to the pixel density and crop modes.
