I want to say they are amazing. I bought a used Acratech ballhead on fleabay. As always if the deal is to good to be true it is.

I got the ball head and I could not adjust the tension to hold my d850 and lenses properly.

I called and Scott answered the phone on one ring. I told him I had a problem with the ballhead that I did not buy new. I asked how much to get it fixed, his reply was free. I just had to pay return shipping.

Within 7 days they sent me an Ebay invoice for $8.00. Totally a good deal I feel.

The ballhead is amazing, they have a customer for life. Plus they packed in a box with custom cut foam like it was new.

Bravo to them for having old school type customer service.

Nikon D850 and a bunch of stuff, I have learned a lot here when I was shooting Canon, staying to keep learning..."Every time I set up I learn something new".

Acratech is the manufacturer of quality precision photography products which are made in the United States of America. I'll have to keep that in mind the next time I'm shopping!

Scott by the way is the CEO and founder according to the website...https://www.acratech.net/ (external link)

I have four Acratech tripod heads; two GP-s models, a GP and a GP-Ultimate that's reserved for field macro. The GP is used on a RRS 3-series tripod and one GP-s model is on my travel tripod and the other one is a spare. I am also the beneficiary of stellar Acratech service; before buying their GP-Ultimate I had a regular Ultimate that was wrecked in a bad accident. It came back from them like new (my fault but no charge for the repair) and after couple of years I sold it on and bought the GP version of the Ultimate. They are a class act. Their heads cope with ice, snow, sand and rain and I highly recommend both the company and their tripod heads.
