HI all, I've only just come on here and hoping someone can give me some advice. I've had my 6D for around 18 months/2 years and have, today, had a problem!! When I'm in M manual, if I turn the back wheel to adjust my shutter speed, it won't change for the current setting, apart from giving me a capital L.. I've not come across this before and wonder if you have any ideas what it might mean? I've just checked and it's doing the same when i'm in Tv too. OK using the top wheel but the back wheel, is again giving me L only????

Hope someone can help or point me in the right direction.

Kind Regards

Julie

L = Locked.

I don't have a 6D, but L = Locked is a Canon thing.
On many Canon cameras this means the ON/OFF switch is in a position which locks the wheel.
On a 90D, the ON/OFF switch is on top of the body and the LOCK switch is at the rear, bottom right.

That lock feature is one of those things that look good on paper, but has a terrible implementation. I think it has caused more issues than has helped.
