Last year canon had nice rebates on printers. I need a printer for my daughters school year and it would be nice if it could print photos and have a good rebate. Anyone have any info if canon is still doing rebates on these printers? Thanks a lot.

Too bad those are photo printers. I think he may be looking for something more practical where he can use it for printout documents since he did say he wanted to get one for his daughters school year.

With COVID and people working from home, there may not be much in terms of rebates. The printers on Canon's website is even slim pickings as well.

Good point, if Frodge wants a more consumer grade printer, some deals are at https://shop.usa.canon.com …uy-select-inkjet-printers (external link). Having said that I personally don’t feel Canon makes as good a printer as HP and lately Epson gets very good reviews as well.

We got this and you can pick up remanufactured cartridges inexpensively which is one of my main criteria.

They can scan and make copies too and it will duplex.

TeamSpeed, you link to a LaserJet. Have you done photos with the machine? I've never really felt laser printed color photos measure up that well as compared to ink jet.

It says that it does 600-dpi print resolution and images look sharp and detailed. However, the resolution is up to the image itself and not the printer. If your image is 72dpi, its going to look 72dpi. If the image was scanned at 600-dpi and printed like that, different story.

Never fond of business printers used for images. And to be used for school stuff, thats a bit pricey. Might as well get the MegaTank. You'll print a lot more and it won't cost you as much in ink since it uses bottles instead of cartridges.

Not a single printer in stock from the link you posted on Canon's website. Lol.

With schools have already started or starting soon (depending on state), any rebates would of been out already.
