So I shot the gulls again, from my bedroom window (I have sliding doors there so it's quite comfortable). I wish I had more exciting birds to show you but gulls sure are great test subjects! Don1 Cream of the Crop More info | Oct 01, 2020 17:54 | #275 I wouldn't ordinarily be using the 300mm with a 2x extender but I was set up for shooting out in the open when the sun came through. Instead I was going through an area of trees and bushes that was deeply shaded when this Downy landed nearby and I couldn't resist taking a shot. I was too close to get the full bird but am happy with this result at 10000 ISO. IMAGE LINK: https://www.flickr.com …50405147668/in/datetaken/Downy Woodpecker Don

Your bird looks nice and fluffy and better than mine! Gulls are smooth birds and this is, yet again, a jpeg... Sigh, I'm never going to buy from that store again. This is the second time I have to wait too long for a small cable that is delivered in the mailbox. ![]() Hosted photo: posted by Levina de Ruijter in ./showthread.php?p=19132830&i=i106167634 forum: Canon Digital Cameras The type of bird matters for feather detail Levina and of course I was only about 4 meters from the bird which no doubt helped as well. Using a cable or just a reader? I use a USB-C cable to connect the camera body to my Windows computer. I transfer the files using Canon's EOS Utility because I rename the files during import in a way that Lightroom can't. Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.
