The 16mm is going to be a great low price addition to any travel setup if the image quality is good. I can't wait to check it out!

For sure, this has been a dream lens for me ever since I seen Sigma file a patent for one years ago! All the RF lenses so have had excellent IQ so id be surprised if this didn’t follow the trend.

I currently have the the EF24-105 f4 and like it. I'm struggling to decide if I go with the RF24-105f4 or the RF24-240. Seems like with how great the R6 is at higher ISO that the RF24-240 gives a great bang for your buck.

I went with the RF 24-240 as my first (and currently still the only) RF lens, and I truly love it's flexibility.

That does sound like an all-around great lens - especially at such a good price-point. I am only hesitating because I'm a bit afraid that I won't have much use for my existing (non-RF) L-series lenses (24-70, 70-200). Sounds a little silly, I know,

Between this one, and my Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8-4, (EF mount) I use the "standards" much less often.

I've had my R6 for nearly a year now. In the last month I've had several occasions when the viewfinder image freezes when I keep the focus button down. I usually wait a while to see if it clears, but end up shutting down and starting again. Anyone experience a similar issue? Thanks.

Thanks! I was lost for a bit lol

Speaking of GAS, currently looking at the RF 24 -104 F/4 for hiking. I take my 24mm prime but sometimes there are waterfalls that are a little further out that I wish I had a zoom lens. Anyone have that lens that can comment on their experience? I read it's pretty light compared to other zoom lens.

I use that lens all the time, very sharp, that's a useful range. Seems a little bit heavy, but that's me coming from a 70D with a 15-85. Check the Canon refurb page, they will probably have it by now, although I find you don't always save very much over a new lens.

Another vote for the RF 24-240mm. I had the RF 24-105mm f/4L (great lens!) and sold it for the 28-70mm f/2L. Wasn’t really happy with the 28-70mm, so sold it. Got the 24-240mm and haven’t looked back.

I will probably pick up another RF 24-105mm f/4L or maybe a 24-70mm f/2.8 but for now the 24-240mm is my go to for a walk around lens.

What color profiles are you using lately?
Adobe is still behind ... Has anyone compared the profiles from Color Fidelity with the ones you can generate with a Colorchecker Passport?

I have my R6 for four months, and have experienced the viewfinder image freezing for a minute or less. I’ve only had to restart the camera once, as it seems to unfreeze or restart itself. The last time it happened I took note: I had just turned the R6 on with the 100-400mm ll attached, (custom setting mode, servo, animal detect), viewfinder froze on previous image for approx one minute and the R6 restarted itself. I noticed the lens made a clunky sound as the camera unlocked.

I’m using both Color Fidelity and Adobe Raw, whichever I feel best suits the image. I’ve never used the colour checker, so I’m not of much help. :)

Got mine in last Dec and haven't had this issue at all. In fact the only real issue I have had was sometimes when turning it on, there may be like a 1 second delay and that's it.

Thanks folks! I'll look into the 24-240 as well. Only way to find out which lens I'll like better for when I'm out hiking is to rent them and try it out. Ugh but for cold/wet seasons the weather seal on the 24 - 105 has the advantage. I know I'm not going to shoot out in the rain, I'll have a cover with me, but still..

Not sure if I shared this one. Tunnel Falls at Eagle Creek Trail in Oregon USA. Trail leads through a tunnel that goes behind the waterfall.
