This beast was very close to me. Shame he wasn't looking at me - though looking at how sharp those antlers are perhaps it was best he wasn't aware of me.

Thinking seriously about getting an R6. I still like my 7d2 but I prefer the image quality of the R but the autofocus is just terrible in comparison if anything is moving. I may keep the R for landscapes and portrait etc and get the R6 for sports, wildlife. I'm sure many have moved from the 7d2 to the R6, if so did you keep the 7d2? Lately I never want to get rid of anything but I don't see needing so many bodies. R6 seems like the perfect pro body for casual enthusiasts.

I moved from the 7Dii to the R6. I still have the former but I almost never use it, though I keep it around as a backup body. Should I ever get an R5, or even another R6 as a backup, I'd sell the 7Dii. No question, the 7Dii was one phenomenal camera for birding/wild life. Still, the weight savings with the R6 and its wonderful tracking don't have me looking back.

I used to sell off my older gear but lately I don’t. I would assume a used 7d2 is worth about 600-700 and I’d rather keep it if that’s all I can get. Same with the 5d2. I actually still use it all. I find the 5d2 more enjoyable than the R but probably because I know it so well and it’s so limited.

Rented the EF 70-200 II f4 from Lensrentals. Just received it so not many shots yet but so far I like the look on the R6

Keep the R and the R6. I sold my 7DII (that I LOVED) soon after getting the R6. Other than the higher pixel density, the R6 beats the 7DII in every way. For non-moving subjects, the R sensor is hard to beat. I do regret selling mine.

We attended Porchfest Gilroy on Saturday. It's a free event where people offer up their front yards for bands to come and play for an hour. This year's event was a little smaller then in the past but we still had a good time. This band, The Daylights, got my vote for band of the day. They played a mix of classic rock covers.
