OK, as commanded by kd_reno, I got close this morning in the garden.

Pretty much full frame (except for the tight crops on the Yellow Jacket) images at near MFD for the lens with 1.4x TC.

Lens is seemingly more worth the cost with every shutter trip ;-)a

Posted in the R3 gallery as well.

Cory (wife) and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by staying overnight at 'the Big Cat Sanctuary' in Kent combining it with a 'photo experience' which allowed us to get a lot closer to the cats (shooting against the fencing) struggled with which to post up but here goes - oh and the R3 along with the RF 100-500. . . . . . seriously flawless combination! My only wish - that Canon release a version 2 with internal zoom!

Although tempting - I took it off high speed and took a single shot to see how well the AF handled the shot (though a glass pain for this one)

And eye detection. . . . . yep ;-)a

Last one with a 'little' extra processing - just because I like it

Went out this morning with with high hopes for some BIF shots, only to find out that IS Mode “1” isn’t the right choice when panning. Lots of blurred shots in the bin. Will try to do better next outing. vmad

Did get some good shots otherwise though so was t a total waste.

I'm confused what you're referring to here.

Are you referring to the AF menu #3 ... Case 2 (Continue to track subjects ignoring possible obstacles)? Or something else?

No, IS mode switch on the RF 100-500mm lens.
