Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has experience and can discuss continuous lighting here:
1. I'm currently looking at:

  • Creamsource Vortex
  • Creamsource Space X
  • Quasar Science RR RGB
  • Quasar Science Crossfade
  • T8 and screw-on bulb for practical lights
  • Aputure Nova - I hesitate as I have older 120T lights that have "burned out" extremely prematurely, one out of the box for just one week.
  • Aputure RGB little tiny magnetic lights for practicals
  • Nanlite Forza and the mini one
  • Daydreaming, but probably not practical these days:
  • Broncolor FT or HMI lamps integrated with their parabolic reflectors

2. Does anyone have any experience with any of these lights or have other LED brands they can share with?

3. I'm also learning about DMX control and many wireless industry standards. Does anyone have any input on these as well as Aputure's mesh network?

I like big cinema cameras and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny

Would be interested in what you have found in your research. I'm also looking at LED continuous lighting to shoot artwork, etc.

Very inexperienced.

I only recently purchased this Luxli Fiddle.......It has an application that allows you to control several different lights. So far, I like it a lot, it is really versatile and can even do gels.

No affiliation. I bought it as a top of camera light as its primary use. It could also be used in other ways....

This B&H video sold me that it was pretty much exactly what I was looking to buy.
