Guys hope your all well.

So i been upgrading my gear with all Sigma ART. Just got the Sony A7R4!

So one last lens to buy is a SIGMA wide angle lens.

there are 3 options:

Sigma ART 12-24 F4 = around £900
Sigma ART 14-24 F2.8 = around £950
Sigma ART 14mm F1.8 = around £700 from a 2nd hand buyer! which is a crazzzzzzzzzzy price!!! they are usually £1200

Now, i like the variable zoom cause you can always go back and forth to focus for architecture. which i usually use for. Not so fussed with aperture!

But given the "Sigma ART 14mm F1.8 = around £700" is available for this price would it be ideal to get this lens than one from the others?

I was thinking of getting Sigma ART 14-24 F2.8 but now the dilemma I am finding myself with the value for the Sigma ART 14mm F1.8 at an unimaginable price LOL

Pls give me your opinion, even if it is brutally honest :)

cheers
Asif

I've been having the same thoughts recently.

I have the funds for either but, is a pricey 14mm at f1.8 enough to compare with a 14-24mm capable zoom lens @2.8. Which is 1 and 1/4 times darker.

I have a 24-70mm 2.8, so im leaning towards the prime. These types of exotic primes, have a special look to the resulting images.

Did you make a decision?
