Thread title incomplete in RTAT, New Posts

OhLook, you’re mistaken. The title only says ‘Geometric Shapes’. So RTAT and New Posts are correct.

It’s only in the body of the post that Jim put in the full title.

EDIT: I had asked staff to correct the title and they just did so all is well.

I can't read the link in the OP when clicked on because the forum is blocked (hidden).

So, as stated in that thread, I just move on. There is no exception in AMASS to allow viewing of a linked thread in a hidden forum.

I fully understand. "Competitions" is a great forum for those who like that sort of thing, but blocking it doesn't lose you anything of value in this case. I started the thread here to bring something to the mods' attention, not for a general audience. Mods can presumably see all of POTN.

If you have filtered a forum out and arrive to the filtered forum you can see it by setting forum filter OFF. Page reloads and you can see the content. Put it ON again after that.

Forum filter is YOUR setting and you can put it on/off all day long. It is a view filter, nothing else.

Blocked forum is a different thing. In that case mods have prohibited you the forum view. That is a different error message altogether.

I understand. Some members, including me, would like a quicker way to see images that originated in forums we've filtered out.

Often, a gallery image that came from the Lens Sample Photo Archive is reposted as a gallery image in a content forum with threads I follow, such as Wildlife or Nature and Landscapes. I'm not interested enough in lens samples to have the LSP Archive's numerous posts cluttering up my RTAT and New Posts. I then must choose between going through the unfiltering/refilterin​g routine and skipping the image. The routine is necessary just to see whether I would have wanted to skip. The second-most-common such forum that gives me that choice is Sony Cameras. People who use a Sony may not have thought about the possible appeal of their images to others who have no particular attachment to the brand.

We can use the convenient "peek" function to see a post by an ignored member. There's nothing analogous for seeing an image from a filtered forum.
