Will the shutter be firing rapidly to achieve frames per second when using video mode? Basically will the video mode shorten or reduce the cameras shutter curtain life?

Cinema cameras have a different type of shutter that allows them to be used for video. Canon 5D mk IV

Sep 20, 2020 09:46 | #3 The mechanical shutter opens when you go into video mode and closes when you leave, the individual frames of the video are exposed electronically so there is no additional wear to the shutter mechanism.
