Having an issuee with a Leofoto half ball adapter. It doesn't want to tighten properly on the tripod and it will slip and turn when I pan with the lens. The issue just started after little use. I've been using a sigma 150-600mm lends on a video head. Anyone have the same issue or fix.

Were you able to resolve the issue?

Yes. Operator error. The release clamp was just ever so slightly open. Just needed to close it all the way down.

Glad it all worked out. How do you like it?

I'm getting the Leofoto LM-404CL with 100mm Half Ball.

I'm getting the Leofoto LM-404CL with 100mm Half Ball.

It's just my second tripod. It replaces an ancient, heavy, bogen whose legs wouldn't stay set. The Leofoto is rock solid. I made it heavy by adding a manfrotto video head and now the whole thing probably weighs more than the bogen. I don't use it ofter, but recently have done so for stills and panning. It works well. I did have to loosen the leg bolts so they would move, but that was easily done. No real issues with such little use.

Thank you for the response.

This will be replacing a 9 1/2 pound Manfrotto 475B (same design as when it was Bogen) that is just too heavy to carry through the woods. Those older Bogen/Manfrottos are like tanks!
