Hi everyone,
I recently sent several bodies to Canon for their 18-point cleaning service... I also requested a shutter/actuation count, as usual, when I have my bodies cleaned/serviced. Upon completion, the paperwork shows the typical 18-point service and the shuttter/actuation count... However, there was also another statement next to the shutter/actuation count that I've never come across; MIRROR COUNT. I've never seen that figure before in all the times I've had my camera's cleaned...
Here's a couple of examples:
* 1Dx Mark II: Shutter/Actuation Count is 47,876 ... Mirror Count is 47,961
* 5DsR: Shutter/Actuation Count is 36,917 ... Mirror Count is 35,874
I did the "google" search thingy, but nothing consistent was described... Some said it's the locking mirror count, some said it's video count, some said it's the live view shutter count... Again, there wasn't a definitive answer, which I'm looking for.. So does anyone know what the MIRROR COUNT figure is? Thanks in advance for your input and comments...
