Has anyone else had issues using the 16-80 on a tripod? I love the lens - focal length and OIS are great but used it for long exposures on a tripod last night and it was a mess. Why no on/off switch for the OIS? I think this was the culprit of all the camera shake I encountered as I’ve used this tripod many times with other lenses and no issues. I thought it was supposed to recognize when it was in a tripod and act accordingly?

Are you talking Nikon, Fuji, or what?

I'm assuming Fuji as they call their optical stabilizing OIS. A quick peek around the web shows that according to the lens manual, you have to turn it off via the menus.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Indeed, if Fuji, it seems like some firmware updates may have addressed some issues with the OIS. See
