A fun little session I did back in May with this little girl.

What happened to the color in the first shot?

Both are edited differently. The first one edited to look a temperature and bring out her eyes.

I think the white balance in off in both of them. The could be nice images with corrected white balance. If you want to enhance her eyes, you can do that with just the eyes rather than affecting the entire image, though I really wouldn't bother. I, and this is only a personal opinion, do not like the current trend towards over enhanced eyes.

Both are really nice images, if they had "correct" white balance. As they are, I really do not care for them, but they are not my images.

Thank you for your opinion, but as it is your preference, I do like them this way which is why I made them this way and I changed the white balance. I do like the over enhanced eyes in some photos, especially blue and green eyes. Everyone has a preference, I edited these two to my preference. :-)

That is all that counts.

Here's the original without any crazy editing, auto-corrected the white balance and adjusted the eyes' saturation just a little bit.

Very nice. It is a very nice pose, and the colors all work together nicely.

I suppose I was going for "magical" with the edited one.
Of course the ones edited to my preferences aren't given to the clients, unless they want them. They're more for me ߙ
