Thank you for your locks of various shapes and functions. No marine ones; was half expecting some lox, though.

dilorenzo1954 – very nice looking locks, and great detail. I had my first haircut in many months last week and at the end there were several curls on the floor that looked very much like that critter’s.

Levina – Many more beautiful locks. Fascinating number of different mechanisms. Would like a day (or night) at that museum sometime. In Amsterdam?

OldCrow - Got to say, I hadn’t thought of that one! Nice. A Pentax? (lost a few of those doors from using battery grips)

This week, though, rwmson has it locked up for me: those colours, patina, and symmetrically asymmetrical details. Good eye.

Take it away Roger for # 624.

- Rob

Thank you so much Rob. I especially liked your term "symmetrically asymmetrical" although I'm unsure whether I could spell it correctly on my own. If you want to read more about the cathedral where I took the photo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryn_Athyn_Cathedral (external link)

Yes, I took this at the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. For the "Where's Nifty?" thread to be exact. Just a snapshot of course but it was all I had. The museum is fantastic and well worth a visit. Or two... (I'm a member) :-P

City is definitely on my list for when I start flying again ... . Have flown over several times but have never had the chance to stop by for a visit. Museum added to the itinerary. Thanks!

Very interesting construction, and it is very Gloucester-like as they say on the site. Quite "Anglican / C of E" looking for a non-conformist church but it certainly shows that it has a sense of place. Interesting college, too. Thanks - Rob.
