What I also like about MPB they arrange courier to collect your items and also pay the return if something isn't suitable, buying from them is also a delight as thier listing decription I often find is lower than the actual condition of the equipment you receive, this is the case of the Four item I brought from them recently all were in the very good to excellent category but they looked more like mint, and work flawlessly.

I just sold a camera to MPB. It was a good experience.

Shipping from Los Angeles to NY by Fed Ex ground took 7 days. One day after MPB received it payment was made.
Just keep in mind you might get more money selling it yourself. After all, MPB needs to make a profit.

I would recommend MPB.

FYI. MPB only does checks for purchases under $500.

Btw, they paid me $200 more for the 5D3 than what I could get here or on FM.

This is not true. I was able to get them to send me a check for my 5D3 for over $1,000. It took quite awhile, though (over a month), and they sent it via FedEx with a signature required. I was not comfortable providing my bank account information to a small company, but they sure made it difficult to get a check instead. It shouldn't be that difficult.

That is what one of the reps told me. This is good to know.

Another vote for MPB. They seems to beat KEH on price every time, at least whenever I check something. Because of that I never bought anything on KEH so I can't say how the products are with KEH but when it comes to MPB, the items are always a level NEWER than described!

I just got a quote for the Canon BG-E20 grip, in excellent condition. MPB offered me $100 for an item that B&H Photo sells for $299.
I'll pass on their offer.

Have you ever gone to the Bargain Camera shows they have in Anaheim and Pasadena, I have found better deals there in the past, KEH used to show up sometimes to buy, probably won't be having them again until Covid is under control. http://bargaincamerashows.com/ (external link)

Yeah, none of these companies are overly generous on the buy side. Whenever I sought quotes from them, they all came in around the same number. MPB has it for the sell side though; they seem to win every time, at least for me.

And I can tell you they are thorough and do check equipment both comong in and going out - as an example I sold them my Tamron 70-300 that was in great condition apart from the normal wee bit of internal dust, anyway they picked it up got it there, then a few days later I received a phone call from them to tell me they had to knock my price down a bit as they had detected a small amount on fungi inside the lens. I trust and have faith in them so I eccepted the offer.
I also had an isssue with a lens I brought off them that I could not get to calibrate close enough with my camera, they had no hesitation they paid for collection and simply swapped it over for another and the problem was sorted.

I think they are very good.

I was able to sell 3 of my lens (Canon 50mm f/1.8 ll, Canon 17-40 f/4, Canon 70-200 f/2.8) and a battery grip (Canon BG-E14) to them in an exchange for the Canon RF 35mm 1.8 lens. They offered a little more than what I was willing to let it go for if sold locally (low ballers). Received an email saying the difference in money after the RF 35mm trade is being transacted into my bank account and my lens is on the way.

Not a done deal until money and lens arrive but the process has been smooth and easy. I took my gear to a local FedEx store and paid about $6 to have them packaged it up for me. I'll definitely use them again if/when it's time to sell my current gears.

I sold a few MFT items to MPB in exchange for cash and an EF 8-15mm f/L late last year.

MBP offer for my lenses was better than KEH and MPB price on the 8-15mm was better than KEH. MPB honored their offer, no attempt to lower (I honestly/conservatively rated it when seeking the quote). Deal went off without a hitch and the lens I got from them was like new as far as I could see even though they rated it as the next grade down (“excellent”).

While the lens prices they offered were less than I wanted, lenses were getting no interest locally or on the MFT forum. I understand they have costs and need to make a profit, they certainly did better than my local store was willing to give me as trade.

Fast forward to last month, a couple more MFT lenses there was no local interest on. KEH offered about $75 more than MPB, so I went with KEH.

KEH got my gear, dropped my rating by one grade on one lens (like new- to excellent+) and dropped by two grades on the other (like new- to excellent). That made for a difference of $170 combined, making their offer about $100 less than MPB.

I knew I rated my gear properly by their descriptions, so I said no thanks and to return the lenses. They offered to reassess and get back to me. A few days later they bumped the offer by $65. Still made them $30 less than MPB’s offer, but by this time it had been 10 days since I sent the lenses off.

I took KEH’s final offer only to avoid delay and hassle of waiting for lenses to be returned, with no idea of their condition on return, and then to send to MPB with no guarantee their original offer prices hadn’t changed.

Lesson learned, in the future I will deal with MPB over KEH when it comes to selling used gear that I can’t find private interest in.

My recent story with MPB is about a Battery, When I brought my rig from them at the start of the new year, I di not have a lot of chances to fully test it - including the battery life, anyway after setting my D7500 that was part of the gear I had from them, I noticed that I was not getting very good battery life - so I rung them up, after telling them the problem (it ws now about Two months from buying them) the agreed that the battery life was not right so they agreed to send me out another battery - Three days later and one arrived in the post.
They did not have to do this as batteries are outside thier normal 6 month warrantee.

All good.

I just wanted to add another data point to this discussion. I just sold my 6D II + grip to MPB and it was another excellent experience with them. I never used the grip, so I rated it Like New but I conservatively rated the camera as Excellent (although it could have been described as Like New). To MPB's credit, they graded the camera as Like New and bumped up the offer to match! In the end I probably could have netted another $30-$50 on a private sale but I'm very happy not having to deal with possible headaches that can come with that.

Same feeling here. Yesterday I received a $380 payment from MPB for my Canon 80D. That was just for the camera, nothing else.
I considered the camera's exterior condition as 8 out of 10. After using it for a few years I was done with it. I'm satisfied with the price
and MPB sent me payment in about a day after they received the camera. Very fast service.

In the past I've had 2 headaches selling cameras on ebay. One auction winner said he didn't receive the camera I mailed him.
Another one said he'd have to think about it after he won my Nikon D700. Oh boy!

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.

I hadn't either, but after two transactions, I'm a fan.
