Hi

I am looking to buy this lens and have seen one from a reputable dealer in my budget. It is described as below:

It seems reasonable. The only thing I don't know about is this "heavy wear" to the mount. Is this a concern? Would it cost a lot to replace a mount in future if need be? I'm guessing this isn't an issue or they wouldn't rate it "9-". Am I right?

Would you regard the lens condition as an issue?

OTOH
I've seen a couple of cleaner examples without reference to this type of wear and they are only about £400 more. That's still in my budget and it might translate into a saving if potential repairs ( or even resale value ) are taken into account. Is it worth spending a bit more?

Any advice gratefully received.

Thank you

have you seen pictures? I would not be worried about the mount unless the heavy wear means it was dropped

Thank you. In the meantime, I have seen the same dealer has one in mint condition for a little bit more so I have ordered than one instead. They will hold it for me until my R5 is in stock so I will still have a 30 day returne period. Given that I've used them a lot and trust them, I am unlikely to return it unless it really is unbearably heavy for me.
