Storing Studio Strobes?

I've got three Flashpoint Studio 300 strobes that I now use occasionally for still life.

They used to stay permanently mounted to my heavy duty macrophotography rig and table. However, because of a forced move due to a fire, all of my macrophotography gear is broken down and in storage.

Since the strobes will only be used from time to time until I'm able to do studio macrophotography again, I'm looking for suggestions for safe but accessible storage for them. There's never going to be any travel involved, just brief usage in the home followed by storage.

The most important thing for ANY flash units (portable, on-cmaera, or studio flash) is to plug'em in and turn them on to re-form the power capacitor every 6 months.

A while back Home Depot had a sale on these utility storage cases for $25.00. https://www.planomolding.com …-hinged-storage-box-green (external link)
They are not heavy duty, but I got 2 to store my monolights and grip gear in. Perfect for when I need to clear out the floor space in the studio. They stack well.
Got some rolls of foam padding to line the cases, used some old padded dividers I had laying around to organize and added a couple of tins of desiccant to each to control moisture.

The linked one is out of stock, but they have other similar sized cases.

I think that Harbor Freight sells something similar, and they're literally across the street from me. I'll see what they have.

Thanks.

At least online, Harbor Freight doesn't appear to have the cases referenced.

I'm thinking about getting a large plastic tub and lining it with closed cell foam and putting in a couple of closed cell foam dividers to give me three compartments for the strobes.

If you're not lugging it around, it works great.

No, I'm just trying to keep them out of the way and prevent them from getting damaged when they're not in use.

When I moved due to a fire, I just wrapped them up in bubble wrap and put them in a tub with the rest of my macrophotography equipment. That was good enough to get them here undamaged, but that's unacceptable for day to day use, since everything is all jumbled together, from a Wemacro to three studio strobes. They need to be stored by themselves, (probably with their soft boxes) so that they can be quickly set up and broken down again when no longer needed. I just need to figure out what size tub to get and order the foam from Amazon, since the local home stores don't seem to carry it.

I bought 4 from Harbor Freight for the price of 1 Pelican. Bought 1 at a time using 20% coupon, total $48.

Here is the tan one use for my flash. Watched videos on YouTube on how to strengthen up the foam using plasti-dip. Worked great.

I use 2 of those for my Streaklight 360's and the trigger, modifiers, batteries and brackets when I go on location. Don't know if the studio 300's will fit.

Looks nice.

I went to the fabric store after breakfast and got some 2" thick foam. I'm going to cut it to size and velcro/glue it into place in the tub.

It'll probably do well until something better comes along.

I would agree on the fit problem; the Harbor Freight "X-Large" has interior dimensions of 17-7/8 in. x 12-7/8 in. x 6-1/4 in. Not much depth for a flash unit that has a 5 inch reflector.

You would have to be dealing with some antique flash units for that to be a problem.

If you want some cheap and temporary, then a sports bag with a layer of foam at the bottom would work.
For something better quality then any large camera bag would also work.

So when did they get rid of power capacitors which need to be occassionally re-formed?

My Metz 64 AF0-1 was launched in August 2014, at it needs capacitor reconditioning every 3 months according to its manual.
