I just bought 4 apache cases for the cost of 1 pelican. They are $48 after a 20% coupon.

Not a fan of pull & pluck foam holding up in the long run so I followed advice on YouTube by many who spray plasti-dip on the foam for extra security. Here is my case w/ 5 flash, 5 receivers, & 2 transmitters.

They are available in black, green, tan, orange, & yellow as well as 4 different sizes.

These are just a few hard case brands.
I avoid smashing the camera body when closing the lid.
I choose a little more depth to allow for the foam layer the camera will be resting on.
I prefer pelican here's why....
My pelican case has an automatic valve good when flying and high altitudes.
I also have purchased these other brands as well for storing tools and electronic testing equipment.
Apache, Elephant case, Amazon basic case.
I purchased a nice tan apache hard case 2 weeks ago (just opened its lid today) and the foam insert smells a little.
The foam smell is going away, a few more days to air it out.
Also don't know what kind of foam it is.

The 1510 I believe is the largest you can carry on. It's an incredible case and you can find them at pretty good discount a few times a year.

Mine has dividers and I bought the lid organizer. I don't like the pluck foam either.

I almost went with the dividers because of the pluck foam. I've had dividers before & things just moved around too much for me. That's when I stumbled on the videos using that plasti-dip to secure up the foam.

The 1510 is a great case, if you want something that large, It can hold a lot of stuff and is very versatile with the dividers. Plus, it has wheels, which makes it easy to transport. I modified mine, replacing the hard, original wheels with roller blade wheels. It makes for a nice, inexpensive upgrade.

Here is an old picture of mine loaded with equipment.
