I personally only use fyeo and new posts for my daily views and rarely go back a second page for each. That gets me up to speed quickly on everything that happened on POTN since I last visited.

I don't care about old threads where they never got resolved or the members are no longer active and won't even see any new replies, etc. I can binge watch canceled series on Netflix or Amazon if I wanted that kind of mental anguish. ;)

I get on daily, check those two links, read through any interesting threads or see where I was involved in a thread where others were active, and then be done in a matter of an hour or less. Ditto for FM, but Fred's site doesn't have all these cool AMASS functions.

Maybe we can have an IGNORE function for old replies instead of members in my ignore list. I can always then use the peek function to see a hidden post that was older than X. Maybe that would work instead of an icon or visual cue in the replies.

"Man only has 5 senses, and sometimes not even that, so if they define the world, the universe, the dimensions of existence, and spirituality with just these limited senses, their view of what-is and what-can-be is very myopic indeed and they are doomed, now and forever."
