I haven't found anything negative myself. If you own a Canon R5 the August RAW support update was showing the files about ⅔ stop darker. That was corrected. I imagine the same thing for the R6? New Catalogue v10 to improve performance.

Color Grading, new zoom by percentage, Canon live tethering has been improved, GPU performance improvement and even the die hard critics are surprised by what I have been reading. I got a new computer last year so it was already working well for me. That is about it.

Good to go with LrC 10 and corresponding Cr and Ps releases. Check out sky replacement in Ps.

Right. I forgot about that. I’ll have to play around with it.

It seems like I've been reading about LR performance improvements since the first update after I bought LR2. Hopefully the 12th time is the charm.

I got a new iMac last fall and LR has been flying on it. I did a clean install and ran Catalina right away. Multiple brush adjustments and every everything else is smooth. Same with LR10.

Actually some Mac users were reporting slow downs using the Library module, particularly zooming to 100%. I didn't notice anything significant on both my desk and laptops. Apple just released a Catalina 10.15.7 supplemental update and there is one report of improved performance.

Has anyone noticed better color in the latest updates? I loaded some sunsets tonight with my usual presets after installing the update and wow, looks great.

Seems like the R5 colours are better but that is so subjective. There are a bunch of updates today that I'm downloading.

I'm using my 5DM4 but last night I imported my usual settings onto some sunset images and it seemed different, a better kind of different.

I think Adobe makes slight changes as they go and doesn't always reveal it. They corrected the slight R5 underexopsure and didn't mention it. When Auto was first released as Sensei contrast was dropping far too much. It really messed up working with Canon profiles. They corrected both as well and it wasn't posted.

So it wouldn't surprise me that you are seeing better colours. I actually find Adobe colour quite good now, particularly with the R5. Sometimes the reds can look a little to orange so I use Color Fidelity that match Canon profiles.

Wow, I'm still using a standalone version of LR5 (5.7 I believe)...probably missing out on a lot of features.

But, no monthly fees :-)

I'm mainly here for the snacks

They've definitely made a few improvements since then, but I'm not sure enough to justify hopping on the subscription train. I only did it because I wanted the full Photoshop since there's so much more online help available for it versus Photoshop Elements.

Yes no monthly fees. I always updated my stand alone software so it is not that much difference. I also had a personal website via Zenfolio that cost me $150 a year. The plan comes with a personal website so it was a no brainer. A link to new features.

Auto is now referred to as Sensei. Machine learning and was trained and is being continually trained by thousands of professional edits to start. I think now by request they are using amateur edits. A new feature this year is ISO Adaptive Presets. You use two files, low and high ISO, make your adjustments and combine them into a single preset that automatically adjusts anything you want at import. I used 3 files for the R5 but my R only has two files.

As the ISO goes up some adjustments decrease while others increase.

ISO 16,000. All the able settings auto adjusted based on ISO and all I did was press Auto. This took a few seconds.
