We have lots of Blue Herons in Oklahoma. They are everywhere year-round and I have photographed many of them. I generally pass them by because I have photographed so many. Still, they are beautiful birds and this particularly handsome example placed himself in a beautiful spot with nice soft light and the fall color. He was irresistible on this wooded shoreline of Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City.
