Looking back over the events I have actually been to this year, probably the most fun was had in the night of Feb 1st. The Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) hold a night navigation rally each year, this year based at Leominster in Worcester. Split into two sections, one starting at 9.00pm till around 1.00am then the second leg from 2.30am till approx 6.00am.
This year was a night of two completly different sorts, first half was great, dry and cold, but the second, well. Arriving back at Leominster it seemed strange tucking into Sausage, Egg and Chips at 1.30am, but needs must. Heading out to our cars to get ahead of the field and select our spot, the two of us looked at each other and decided to just wait 15 minutes. Best decision we made all night, the heavens absolutely opened and we decided to give it our best and pack up.
Driving home to Leicester was and experience, even in my modern car. Side roads flooded, that much water on the motorways around Worcester, not fun at all. One can only imagine what it was like for the competitors.
Enough waffle, on with the pics.

One of the difficult things I found was it being that dark, the only light source was my flash. I could set up some remote one's but then every shot would be the same. Quite a balancing act to not over power the cars or blind the driver.
lets hope the event can go ahead next year.
