Topaz Sharpen Resize Question

Does Topaz Sharpen have any options to manipulate file size. Normally I do my edits in LR and if I need a little extra sharpening I'll use Topaz. What I notice though is that after I save the image in Topaz the file size is much larger than I need it to be (I post mainly to social media). For example, my LR file might be 600 KB but after sharpening the Topaz image is over 1 MB. What's the easiest way to solve that? Thx.

The more detail an image has, the harder it is to perform JPG compression. Either a) you are somehow resizing the image to a greater resolution than originally through the filters or b) you are sharpening so much that detail (maybe a bit too much) is causing lower compression ability of the JPG, or c) you are using a different jpg quality when saving out to JPG.

If you want to control the size, try sharpening the full size image first, then resize the file to your target goal.
