Does Canon sell a diopter to add to the eye piece of the Canon 70D. I have the built in one adjusted as far as it can go.
Need a little more. I see a +2 they have but doesn't show that it fits the 70D. It shows it fits the 7D but no 70D

There is one for the 70D too. But the 7D has a better viewfinder, so the same model will not fit. Use the system map in your user's manual to figure out what fits your camera.
Note that the built-in adjustment has the range -3 .. +1. If you put on a +2 correction lens, then the new range will be 0 .. +4.

Remember that for cameras with the smaller eyepiece, you need a frame to mount the lens into as well.

Saw that on Canon's site. I asked B&H and they said DIOPTRIC ADJUSTMENT LENS E (+1.5) is discontinued. Somebody probably has one somewhere.

Do they not have any model at all? Remember that if you can use +1.5 with the internal setting centered, then you could use +3 and set the internal setting back 1.5 stops. Or use 0 and set the internal setting forwards 1.5 stops.

This is the one I asked B&H about, Canon Dioptric adjustment lens E (+1.5) canon SKU: 2840A001

It's the only one that fits the 70D. Best I can tell. There is a E+3 but it doesn't say that it fits the 70D only appears to fit T7i

B&H shows no longer available. Canon's site says out of stock. Doesn't say discontinued.

Canon manufactures ten different E-series correction lenses.

The Canon 850D has the same small size viewfinder as the 70D. The large size viewfinder, requiring Eg-series correction lenses, appears on the 7D, later 5D and the 1D-series, of course.

Only finding +1.5 or +3.0 on canons site and both are out of stock. B&H says + 1.5 is discontinued and the +3 is on back order.
I asked B&H to notified me when the +3 is available. Wait and see

Only see E-3 E-4 E-5 at Adorama. No + anything

OK. I checked here in Sweden, and a number of them are for sale at different dealer sites. But there seems to be confusion about whether they sell an E, Eg or Ed correction lens.
When I've bought those I have, I've asked the local shop to order them from Canon. Thus I was certain I got the right thing.

Thanks for bothering with this. At least B&H will let me know when they get the +3 in. I'll wait for that.
