I print with a Prograf Pro 1000 and have always used the XPS (16-bit) driver. Recently, I started getting color distortions. I'll spare everyone the details, but after a long time on the phone with a very good Canon rep, we figured out that for some reason, the XPS driver was no longer working properly. Reinstalling it made no difference. Printing with the standard 8 bit driver works, but I don't want to continue doing that.

The rep had not seen this specific problem before, but he said that problems like this sometimes arise when the OS or other software is updated. I print via Lightroom, and I believe there was both a Windows 10 update and a CC update not long before this problem started.

So, I'm looking for other people who use the Prograf with the XPS driver to see whether the problem has popped up on their computers. If it has, then Canon needs to update the driver. If it hasn't, then it's something specific to my computer, and I'll have to live with it or keep looking for conflicts.

BTW, one clue is that although the color distortions looked like blue inks weren't being laid down properly, a nozzle check looked perfect, and doing both a regular and a deep head cleaning had no effect. Printing a test image with a grid of colors showed the problem clearly.

Thanks.
