Red focus points not blinking

Tested on 5 lens and with all, the AF works as it should and get the green confirmation beep but the red dots are not there.

are you in af servo mode?


some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

First, this behaviour is different between different models.
Second, there are settings affecting how the red AF point light works, and these settings are also different between models.

In four different cameras I own, they work differently in all of them. I suggest you carefully read the manual for your particular camera. Most likely, you'll find that it's either as expected from the camera, or there is some particular setting causing this.
