Does anyone use this program? Every now and then I'll shoot a video. My question is can it add two different clips together? I can't seem to view more than one clip at a time and it would be nice to stitch a couple scenes together. Thanks.

Are you talking about the webcam utility that came out around April? Otherwise, at least with respect to Canon software, it is limited what you can do with a DSLR as far as editing videos. See https://support.usa.canon.com …page=content&id=ART129471 (external link), which admittedly is old for some possible ideas.

There are some 3rd party apps out there so someone may have further suggestions.

No. It's called EOS Movie Utility which comes on the disk with Canon cameras. I like it as it lets me pull out a photo from a movie clip. But for movie editing it looks very weak.

EOS Movie Utility is not an editor. It only has a few basic functions - player, pull out a still, stitch shots that span multiple files. Windows only.

You’ll need to get video editing software to edit different scenes together.

I recommend the free OpenShot Video Editor (link) (external link) as a great and accessible editor for beginners. If you stick with assembling a few scenes you may never need more than that!

Quite a bit more advanced is the free version of Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve (link) (external link). It’s got all the bells and whistles, and is chock-full of advanced functions for compositing, color correction & sound. It’s a steep climb to mastery of this editor.

I don't shoot video but when a client asked if I did, I said "Yes". Yikes! Anyway, in the end they didn't want any video but I went home to try and find something to play with if the situation ever came up again . I was directed to this program, never really used it but seem to be a lot of tutorials around.
