This is a sequel to my post entitled "Bald Eagles like Atlantic Saury". So now that you know what Atlantic Saury are, you can see how important they are in the food chain ;-)a. I drove back up to the Canso Causeway yesterday to see if any whales or leatherback turtles had moved in, but alas, they had not. However, A big bunch of Northern Gannets had arrived, and theywere hungry! 98% of them were juveniles, with the odd adult in their midst.

Gee Ian, these are terrible. I think that you need to move to the R5 and lenses and let me buy your old equipment at fire sale prices!! LOL

Seriously, Great shots again. This combination is working very well for your. Diving Gannets at 1000mm indeed! Keep them coming!

Ok I think you’re reading my mind John. The R5 has been on my mind, but with the adapter to accept my current lenses. If I do that I’ll be selling my 1DX I. Thanks for the comment on the pics, gannets are a challenge.

:-( I had my covetous eyes on your MK II and 500MM II. LOL

Seriously again tho, there is a good thread about batteries for the RF in the Canon Accessories forum.

I have a settlement coming for a disability claim and I might have to siphon off those some funds and self indulge for a new camera.

Can't take the money with me and it would make a really good Christmas present.

Stay safe, healthy and may you and your family have a very Happy New Years.
