How can I process photos taken with a Panasonic Lumix when Lightroom 5 doesn't recognize them. I typically use this camera only for video.

Maybe with Adobe DNG Converter (external link)? If you can get them to be DNG's Lightroom will work with them.

Make sure you update to the latest version of lightroom 5. A number of raw converters were added in later releases. Adobe doesn't make it easy to find the updates

The only Lumix camera that I know of (may be wrong) that shoots Raw video is the S1H which goes for about 4,000 bucks. Don't you think a camera on that level deserves software that is less than 7 years old?

Lightroom 5 finished getting support in 2015. If you have a valid licence you can call Adobe support and they will give you updates. If that Lumix came out after LR6 was released it won't matter even if you have the latest version.

I'll suggest the DNG converter as well.

No. re-read the post, son. I don't own a $4k camera and I'm not trying to process raw video in Lightroom, but thanks for your unsolicited opinion.

Too bad, it's a nice camera.

One other option is to shoot jpegs. Not the best answer but it would work without complications.

Good idea. The Lumix is typically dedicated for video, but had an issue with my stills camera so I tried some stills with the Lumix. Will try to remember next time. Thanks.

GH4 & 5 shipped with a link for a free converter software. There might be a reference on their site. I use Affinity Photo which reads the raw format.
