Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I thought I'd try. I took this photo the other morning and really liked it until I noticed the banding (?) in the sky. Can somebody please help me with this? I've read about adding grain but that didnt seem to make much difference for me : (

Very hard to tell at forum resolution. Can you post the RAW file to Dropbox and post the link here so we can get a closer look.

What device and program did you see the banding on. Sometimes the banding isn't in the image per se but in he display properties of the device. I've been freaked out by banding in a few images only to realize that it was compression from resizing on my tablet or laptop, but when viewed on my PC there was no banding.

Add another that isn't seeing the banding either. Where exactly are you seeing it? Maybe I am missing it....

Banding is probably due to a cheap TN panel screen

There area some good videos on how to edit images in 16 bit color, then flatten them back to 8 bit. Where you are seeing the issue is pretty typical of the 8 bit edit issue. I know this post is getting pretty old.... but when I posted to this thread I hadn't done much editing for a while. Now back in the edit mode of life.... I recalled dealing with this issue before and it really works.

A little light reading on the topic..
