I came across this old article.

This seems super interesting and wondering if I can get some ideas on how we can build one with the current available items (bag, tripod, flash adapter).

It's called the Godox AD200 :)
It does all that in a much smaller package.

I am looking at the off-flash setup in a bag as this photographer has done.

I'll try to research a bit on the flash you mentioned along with a trigger and see how I can set up something similar to have the flash diffused umbrella in a backpack.

It's an interesting concept but it appears as the light will be projecting straight forward which has limited value. Shaping the light and shadow makes a much more interesting picture.

Shaping and all is of course a different ball game altogether!

I got my trigger and flash working...I have a diffuser also.

I'll soon set this up to experiment further. I can place the backpack a side as well for directing the light....Anyhow, let me work on it and post here soon!
