I did a search but vendors come and go so I wanted to start a new thread. I am trying to narrow down print services.

I have tried Printerpix for canvas and they did really well on my 40x26 images, but recently there were some quality issues from a 12x16 mounting job.

I use CGPro for Acrylic, and haven't tried any other one's yet.

I've used Nation's Photo Lab for Metal and now I've added Bayphoto into that category as well. I like BP's mounting bracket better FWIW.

Otherwise is there another vendor I should consider? These are still early days and I'm trying to streamline this process the best I can. Running to the web often just gives me paid advertising disguised as reviews.

I use Mpix and Meridian Pro -- I just recently ordered four standouts and one canvas wrap from Mpix during their sales. The quality was excellent, shipping was quick, and the photos were well packaged for protection.

I've only had prints done on metal for many years now. . Well, at least for stand-alone prints. . I do print on paper, but only on products such as calendars and greeting cards.

For several years I used AdoramaPix for my metal prints. . They did a fine job at the best prices I could find anywhere. . And shipping was always "free".

Sadly, about two years ago, AdoramaPix changed their name to Printique, and simultaneously jacked their prices way up. . And there is also an additional charge for shipping now. . The high quality metal prints are still great, but at almost double the price. . Their prices for metal prints used to be way way way below any other lab. . But now they are right there at the high price that almost all of the other labs charge, so I just don't use them anymore. . I liked that they offered at least 4 different finishes on their metal prints - glossy, matte, satin, and brushed aluminum, a.k.a. "silver". . I usually got my prints done in satin or matte, as I do not particularly care for glossy finishes for wall art.

Fine Art America now offers the best prices for metal prints, especially when you wait until their "25% off everything" sales. . And the price of the print includes shipping - which can be quite significant when ordering 40" or 48" metal prints! . I now use Fine Art America instead of AdoramaPix/Printique, solely because of the much better prices. Their quality is great, right there with AdoramaPix/Printique. . The one downside to using Fine Art America for metal prints is that they do not offer any options when it comes to the finish. . Their metal prints only come in glossy white. . A bummer, but at such a low price, I can't really complain. . To the best of y knowledge, they are the only lab that offers metal prints at a fair or reasonable price, in my opinion.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I have been thinking about metal prints but haven't seen one in person yet.

Do you have any tips or considerations to offer?

I've had good luck with Bayphoto, especially on metal. I stick with someone until they disappoint me then I look for alternatives. So far, Bayphoto has not disappointed me.

It is very important to make a note to the lab that you DO NOT want any color correction or adjustment done.

Also, I would think about the photograph that you want printed, and how the textures and colors in that particular image would look on metal, and then select the finish accordingly. . By "finish", I mean glossy, semi-gloss/satin, or matte.

This turtle photo is an example of the type of print that I would want done in gloss .....

While this Raven photo is an example of one that I would want printed in matte finish, as flat and low luster as possible .....
