you have some very nice analog images!
what camera do you use?
what film?

This picture is made with an Olympus SH-25MR. A digital camera. The picture was taken from behind glas of the cable cabin. I also resize the pictures for this forum.

I took my EF 50mm f1.8 out with the EF to RF converter on the R5 today. A cheap little lens that I hardly ever used when I had my Canon DSLRs, but it's performed well today. I don't think it's worth changing for the RF version.

The Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens seems to be a very affordable $199 lens. While it might be worth it to be able to ditch the EF-RF conv I don't think you'll see an appreciable image quality improvement over what you have.

How good is the focus speed on the old lens? What about MFD performance?

I also own the EF 50mm lens. Have had it since 2009 and only used it I am thinking less than 5 times.

Perhaps I should change my ways.

Cheap, light and sharp, 50mm f/1.8s were once the most commonly used lenses.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Nice shot, especially with the 17-40. You got really good sharpness in the corners. You might check your sensor, may need to be cleaned.

I have started using my EF 50mm f1.8 STM more now with my R6 than I did before...
