This painting of Moraine Park was painted by Dorothy Carnine Scott in 1956. It was given to my grandfather in 1957. After he passed it hung in our house and now mine. So I have enjoyed Moraine Park through her painting most of my life.

Last year a relative posted a picture of another of Dorothy's paintings in front of its scene and it inspired me to do the same. This is two images poorly focus stacked. Tall grasses are really hard to stack for a novice like me!

If you hadn't confessed I would have never known.

I don't know anything. But I know other things.

That's nicely done. It is interesting to compare her perceptions to the photograph, and see the changes as well.

Interesting and beautiful.
Were these planted for timber production?
What's their use now? I'd imagine they're only pups in size compared to mature specimens.

Jackson Glacier is the 7th largest remaining glacier in GNP. (There are only 25 remaining glaciers in the park compared to 150 in 1850).
