Fujifilm X-Pro2 rubber eyepiece - Adhesive recommendation: Flex Glue Mini ?

I am looking for a recommendation for a good adhesive for the Fujifilm X-Pro2 rubber eyepiece.

Flex Glue Mini seems like one of the only glues that lists both rubber and plastic in what will bond.

After the original fell off, I bought the JJC EF-XPRO2G Eyecup (deep), which is made of "silicone rubber":

I am glad JJC sent 2 eyecups, because the 1st fell off the first time I used it outdoors.

So my question is whether the Flex Glue Mini is a good choice, or if there is a better product? I have heard that some people used clear nail polish, but that would seem to too brittle.

i had the eyecup replaced, when it fell off, by Fujifilm. They replaced the eyecup and the housing that it was attached to. That was a few years ago now and it's been good since so I don't know if the original housing had a design flaw but I guess if you glue some rubber in it'll stay there.

Someone else mentioned that the JJC eyepiece is silicone, and a silicone adhesive is required; like:
