With the stipulation that it covers web only, and not print, what kind of price should I offer a small state-centered non-profit .org (behavioral health advocacy) who wants two pics (backgrounds of two pages, top 1/3rd of each page?

I'm a professional artist who does photo semi-pro (that means I make VERY little money from it). Don't want to charge like an amateur who would take anything (although I would for this group) and don't want to greatly undercut what most pros would ask for, for their sake.

(Also, I know I should send them 72 ppi (Adobe RGB 1998?), but what size...?

Time is of the essence...

Thanks!

I shot extensively for a National Not for Profit and they had some of the highest budgets. That said, I would find a rate that you’re comfortable with and word your license carefully. If you’re looking at one time use, I would think that somewhere between $750 and $1500 per page would be appropriate. The fact that they know the images and reached out to you gives you an advantage but don’t aim too high as to loss the sale. They will let you know what resolution is required and how to upload to their server.

Thanks, Tony.
They're not a national group with a big budget however, and I think they would choke on those prices.

Why Adobe RGB 1998? That certainly isn't what they will be using on the web. (sRGB).

As for size, ask the client.

Don't rate web use less than print use.

These days, the web is secondary only to television. It may be more important than television. And remember that "the Internet is forever"--it's essentially an unlimited license.

There is no practical reason why "it's only for the web" should reduce what we charge for an image.

If you are making very little money to begin with, you need to solve that problem before expanding into other avenues.
