I took some pictures last night showing the lights and colours of the Commonwealth Games and the City of Melbourne. Some impressive setups. Those who are not familiar with the games that were held here, we had some gigant floating fish that sat on the river that goes down past the stadium where the main event was held. Well enjoy the pictures.

Lovely pics!
I was in town on Saturday night but didn't bring my tripod :(
Got some handhleds at ISO3200 - but nothing crash hot as I was pretty far from the action.

You have some great material here to play with over the next few days. Congratulations to your City for the handling of the Games. It was much appreciated back in the "old" country.


Canon 600D, 40D, 350D + 50mm 1.8, Sigma 18-200is, 70-200 2.8DG and 70-300. Still have A1 and 300 EOS and must get out my Rollei TLR sometime

Music: Yeah I bought my whole mobile kit with tripod etc but year it was kinda squishy toward the end there. I don't think there was a spare inch on the edge of the river.
