Today I received an email from the Planes of Fame Museum. The Planes of Fame Air Show returns this October 2021.
Many feel that this show is one of the best in the U.S. Location is Chino, California. Although the show attracts people
from all over the U.S.

I visited the POF website and I don't see any mention of the show. But here is a clip from the email.

It is on their website now, nice that it is later in the year when the weather isn’t likely to be so hot.

Thanks for the update. To see the show announcement, one needs to click on the Events tab.

Airshowstuff is a good site. I also like MILAVIA.

Maybe in October I'll be shooting with the R5 and 100-500 combo :-)

I just heard on an L.A. radio station that the Miramar Air Show has been canceled due to covid concerns.
The reporter called Miramar the largest military air show in the US.

I find this a bit odd, since covid has been easing up in SoCal, and restrictions are being lifted.
And Miramar is usually held in October, which is a few months away.

What's interesting is that the Planes of Fame air show returns in - you guessed it - October.

I have given up on any plans of going to any Air Shows this year, maybe next year.

Same here. This makes my 2nd year without going to an air show. :-(

I was going to buy the R5 soon, mainly for air shows. But I'm in no hurry now. I'll wait and see if it's on sale during the holidays.

I had my heart set on Miramar and Planes of Fame this year, but obviously no dice.

Next weekend is the Pacific Airshow at Huntington Beach. So far, it still looks like a go, and its free unless you choose to pay for a spot in the reserved areas.

I can't attend the Pacific Airshow. Hope to see some photos from you.
